The next 15 and 16 of November, Spain and more specifically the region of Castilla-La Mancha, will host the second international meeting of the sector of the onion. This meeting, promoted by the association of onion producers of Castilla-La Mancha, PROCECAM. This meeting aims to make an in-depth analysis of the sector, highlighting the importance of this bulb in all its aspects, both productive, nutritious, commercializing and phytosanitary.
A total of 19,947 foreign trade professionals registered for the trade fair, representing an increase of more than 97%. More than 1,500 exhibitor companies from 34 countries took part in the 9th edition, an increase of 20% compared to last year
The ninth FRUIT ATTRACTION trade fair will host the 6th edition of Postharvest Unlimited, which will be attended by scientists, researchers, and specialists from around the world. They will tackle all aspects of the fruit and vegetable post-harvest period, from production to distribution and sale.
This area of the trade show will shine the spotlight on the latest varieties of fruits and vegetables presented by exhibiting companies, and innovations from the auxiliary industry launched during the last two years.
Fruit Attraction 2017 will feature an exciting new exhibition area, SMART AGRO, designed to drive digital transformation and technological innovation in all the links in the agro-food chain; production, transformation, distribution and marketing, as well as the activities of R&D+i centres focused on the fruit and vegetable sector, to achieve more efficient production, with higher levels of quality and control, and lower environmental impact.
The 9th edition of FRUIT ATTRACTION will include a seminar entitled TECHNOLOGY ATTRACTION: Science, Business and Technological Revolution. This initiative, organised by Biovegen, that will underline the importance of technology to improving the competitiveness of Spanish agriculture.
The event will take place from 18 to 20 October and is aimed at restaurant, IFEMA has launched a new project, EAT2GO, an event aimed at the Take Away and Delivery sector and the only specialised event for the food-to-go industry. The fair has been created in response to rapid growth of this sector due to changes in social and consumption habits.
